that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their

righteous: for praise is comely for the upright."

sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp.

instruments and organs. 5 Praise Him upon the loud cymbals."

Lord your God forever and ever..."

people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph."

hands unto God in the heavens."

WHY
DO WE SING IN TONGUES AND IN ENGLISH?

in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding
is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit,
and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with
the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also."
WHY
DO WE SING CHORUSES AS WELL AS HYMNS?
EPHESIANS 5:18-19 - 18 "And be not drunk
with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
COLOSSIANS 3:16 - "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you
richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace
in your hearts to the Lord."
WHY
DO WE PROPHESY?
1 CORINTHIANS 14:1 - "Follow after charity,
and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy."
1 CORINTHIANS 14:3 - "But he that prophesieth speaketh
unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort."
